My Circle of Friends
To my circle of friends, my safe place outside home, my comfort people, my everyday happiness!
Last year, we weren’t even that close. We were just classmates, nothing serious, just normal conversations. I didn’t expect that the people I used to just sit near or talk to sometimes would become the ones I share almost everything with now. But somewhere along the way, we got closer. Slowly, we started opening up about school, family, love life, stress, random thoughts hanggang sa parang alam na natin lahat ang bawat isa.
Sabay kumain, sabay umiyak, sabay tumawa, sabay sa chikas, sabay mag-review for tests, sabay mag-cram, sabay kabahan, at sabay din umaangat. We’ve seen each other’s breakdowns, mood swings, and even the dramatic moments, but no one left. Instead, we stayed. And that’s what makes this friendship so special.
I don’t feel pressured to be perfect around them. I can be loud, quiet, emotional, oa, or even annoying sometimes and they still accept me. When school gets overwhelming and life feels heavy, they make it lighter without even trying. When I doubt myself, they remind me of my worth. When I’m tired, they make me laugh. When I’m sad, they just sit beside me and honestly, that’s more than enough.
Thank you for celebrating my small wins like they’re big achievements. Thank you for listening to my chikas, stories and never making me feel too much. Thank you for being patient with me and for choosing to stay even when things aren’t always easy.
I’m really grateful for all of them. And if I had to choose my circle all over again, I would still choose all of them, always.
