My Lola: My Guiding Star
My lola took care of me and my siblings since we were little. She was always there for us helping, guiding, and even secretly giving us money when we needed it. She was our support, our comfort, and our safe place. She made sure we had food, clothes, and love, even when times were hard. She never asked for anything in return; she was happy when we were happy.
I have many memories with her. She always took me with her to the town, buying things we needed, running errands, or just walking around together. Whenever someone had something to sell that needed to be buried, she would take care of it. I also always went with her when she took a bath it was fun, and I felt close to her. These moments made me feel safe, loved, and happy. I will never forget how she included me in her daily life and taught me lessons without even saying it.
Losing her during the pandemic was the hardest thing in my life. I felt lost and heartbroken because my lola meant everything to me. I miss her so much her voice, hugs, laughter, and even the small things she did that I didn’t know I would miss until she was gone. I keep looking for her in everything, like her smile or her laugh. Sometimes, I just wish I could talk to her one more time.
Even though she is no longer here, her love, care, and lessons stay with me. She taught me to be strong, care for others, and enjoy the simple things in life. I try to live in a way that would make her proud because everything I am today comes from her love and guidance.
I miss my lola every day. I love my lola so much. No one can replace her, and no one ever will. But I carry her in my heart, and thinking of her gives me comfort and strength. She may be gone, but she will always be my guiding star, watching over me and my siblings, loving us the way she always did.
